Throughout Central Oregon, whether it be Bend, Redmond, Madras Sisters Sun River Powell Butte or Prineville, the number of foreclosed homes new to market has increased at incredible rates recently.  Foreclosed homes in Bend represent approximately 10% of active listings and in Redmond it is about 13% however; sales of REO in Bend and Redmond represent over 50% of all sales. Recently 50% of new listings in Bend and Redmond have been Foreclosures (REO). Throughout Central Oregon and especially Bend and Redmond, foreclosed homes continue to hit the market and sell in most cases in less than 90 days, oftentimes receiving multiple offers the first few weeks.

Many foreclosed homes are priced well below most homes on the market in Central Oregon and in fact are receiving multiple offers (bidding wars!), being the first to know about them is paramount.  Keep in mind a relatively small percentage of homes in Bend and Redmond are foreclosed (REO) homes yet represent over half of all sales.
